Should a child be judged on the basis of their marks?

We are in a system where marks are glorified and worshipped. Sometimes, even parents dont give importance to the interests of child and they feel proud, if the child is anxiously running in the mad race of being topper. Why can’t we as a society understand that the last bencher who can’t understand geometry is actually interested in starting his own venture… The shy girl who can not explain a simple defination of science wants to be a singer, why can’t we help the child to understand the importance of freedom? Why can’t we help them to gain the level of curiosity and help them to have a lot of questions? Curiosity and creativity is always linked. Every big invention started with a big question. And that is why our deserving youth is leaving the country or going for a government job where many of them want to live a relaxing life because they are already tired. Very few believe in inventing helping and inspiring the society. Being the best and for that being extremely selfish and sometimes to achieve all the goals even cheating is becoming common, that now, at a level unfortunately the country who was once known for its wisdom spirituality and knowledge is loosing a lot aspiring minds because of our own educational believes… This question is really important which was asked to me by a dear friend and me as a professional educational counselling authority tried to answer it. If you like it than Kindly do not thank me thank the teachers who implanted these thoughts. They taught me learn covers earn… Grammatically as well as metaphorically.
